Getting to Bangkok took a bit longer than anticipated. Due to the utter brilliance of United Air, we spent over 10 hours in London Hearhrow airport. When we finally got to board our Thai Air flight to Bangkok, it was wonderful. The smiling attendants, comfortable seats, delcicious food and drink were all appreciated greatly. If you ever visit Thailand, I highly recommend Thai Air. They are top notch. In addition, the plane was more only half full. My mom and I each got our own row to lay down and sleep after our wonderful dinner.
When we arrived in Bangkok, we made it quickly through the airport, immigration, and customs. It was all very easy.
The Professors, Tony and Achara, arranged for transportation to the hotel. When we arrived we were stunned! The hotel was amazingly beautiful and our room was ever so fancy.
We dropped our belongings and left the hotel quickly to head to Health Land, where we had two hour long Thai massages- just what is needed after traveling 36 hours! It was perfect! Just to rub it in- a two hour thai massage costs 500 baht or about $16. Yes, this is at a nice place, too!
We went back to the hotel to enjoy three course meals and a bottle a wine, arranged for us. It was amazing! I was almost falling asleep but the end of the meal, but it one of the best meals I've had.
Before falling asleep I took a shower-- this would usually go without noting, but the shower has a switch which made it waterfall from the ceiling. It was a magnificent end to a long travel day!
