It was such an amazing day! We started at the school, leaving around 6:30 for Nakon Phanom. The driver stopped us at Narong's house at around 8:00 to leave our belongings (we are staying at his house tonight) and have a great breakfast.
Then, we left with his nephew, who is an immigration officer, for the Friendship 3 Bridge into Laos.
The bridge is beautiful and we had a little time to take some pictures before headed over to the other side of the Me Kong River.
We waited for the bus to cross the river and then went through the paperwork to apply for a Lao visa.
Note- we had our fingers crossed that the actually bridge would fair better than the model...
