We had them opportunity to see the full process.
First, you can see the special tea plant, in which the leaves are used to produce the rich, blue colored dye.
Once the due is made, a process which takes many hours, the cotton thread is dipped into the due repetively. After drying, it is spun into different sized spools.
Then, the thread is woven into amazing patterns and the fabric is used to make shirts, skirts, scarfs, and more.
Because their work is so sought after, most pieces are custom to order. We were, however, able to buy a few scarves.
